Lasting protection against corrosion can be obtained by applying chromate coatings containing oxide to aluminium and steel parts. The coating also provides an ideal primer for additional coats of paint or varnish.
Yellow chromatising Alodine 1200 S is a current-free chemical process to create chromate layers containing oxide on aluminium and its alloys. These are non-metallic conversion layers which are permanently joined to the basic material.
